Question: I have heard several people say they have increased spider veins after using Propecia. I also have experienced spider veins on my torso in the past couple of years and was wondering why all of a sudden I would get this at 38 (been on Propecia for 3 years). Could Propecia possibly be causing this and why would it?
Answer: -Ive never heard that. Maybe I just dismissed it since it doesnt make any sense. Getting some spider veins at 38 is not uncommon. -And why would you say that it doesn't make sense? Are you talking common sense, horse sense or too much incense? Are you a medical professional who intimately understands the workings of the human body and Finasteride? I didn't think so. The purpose of this forum is to explore new ideas and learn from others experiences. Pooh-poohing something merely because YOU don't understand it is doesn't make any sense. How do you know that long-term usage of Finasteride doesn't have some effect on the circulatory system that hasn't been documented? After nearly 4 years on the stuff, I had spider veins on the inside of feet, my left thigh, right calf and middle chest. 4 months after stopping F, they are now almost gone. Was it stopping it F that did it? Or was it one of the supplements I take? Or was it the vitamin E cream that I rub on them once per day? -Crazy as it sounds, i am 26 and noticed I have spider veins on my ankles right now. I've never had such a thing in my life before. 1 year on Propecia. Very very odd...... or maybe not. But ... do 26 year old men get spider veins like 80 year old women?????? Not to my knowledge..
