Question: I have had spider veins on my legs for since I was 14yrs old.I know that my mom has them, which is problabaly why I got them so young. But I really want to get rid og them. Does any one know of anything that works? Injections, Surgery? I am all ears .
Answer: -There is a way to rid you of the veins. A friend of mine had a saline type solution shot into each vein which shrinks them .. talk to your M.D. about it and maybe he can hook you up with someone who can perform this procedure. -Laser is better. I had the saline injections. The did remove the spider veins but left behind bruises that turned out to be permanent. The doctor told me this could happen before he did the injections, but I thought it wouldn't happen to me. It did. So if you can afford it, go with the laser. Cost more but is more effective and I haven't heard anyone say they've been disappointed with the results. -Didn't read this entire thread so I'm sorry if my post is repetitive, but I have been reading that the most current treatment for spider veins is with lasars, and the hypertonic saline method is on the way out. Anybody know for sure? -I too have some unwanted facial veins and am thinking of this type of laser surgery. Would you mind informing of the price? I really have no clue and don't want to pay for the initial visit if the overall procedure is way out of my price range.
