Question: I have cellulite on my thighs. i used to be very ashame of my figure, and tried to cover my legs all the time, but i don't really care anymore. back to the subject. there's nothing you can do to get rid of cellulite other than exercise. a few years ago when i went to the gym all the time, even though not all cellulite went away, but my thighs and calves did somewhat size down.
Answer: -Even excercise won't get rid of cellulite, but losing weight can help reduce the appearance. First, you have to understand what cellulite actually is. Cosmetic companies would have you believe that it's some special kind of fat that can somehow be rubbed or washed away. Cellulite is just regular fat, but it's not necessarily excess fat. Here's how it forms: During a period of rapid growth, say puberty, the elastic fibers in the dermis, just above the fat layer, can become weakened or even break. As a result, the adipose (fatty) tissue underneath pokes through the weakened fibers. There is no way short of surgery to repair these fibers and thus "get rid of" cellulite. As mentioned above, excercise can help tighten and tone the body, resulting in a lessened appearance, but it cannot get rid of the cellulite. Some creams can temporarily improve its appearance as well, but don't believe any claims that a cream or a massage or a diet can "remove" cellulite. It just doesn't work that way. Liposuction cannot remove cellulite either, in fact it can make it look worse. -Tis exceptionally popular in continental Europe, apparently. Anyway it involves getting a large bristly brush & using large sweeping circular movements all over your body - towards the heart, once or twice a day. Exfoliates & gets everything moving thus eliminating toxins etc etc. Ranges such as Elemis sell brushes especially for the purpose. Any areas of broken skin/dermatitis or varicose veins should be avoided I've also seen it recommended by naturopaths for everything from water retention to IBS
