Question: I have two very large red spider veins in the crease between my nose and my cheek from popping zits/blackheads (out of sheer desperation when I was a teenager). Has anyone ever had that facial vein-zapping treatment, and if so, did it work and how much did it cost?
Answer: -I've had Fotofacial treatments and one KTP laser treatment for enlarged capillaries on my face (sun exposure). The KTP treatment cleared about 50% of the capillaries around my nose; however, it did nothing for the bluer veins around my lip and cheek. The Fotofacial treatments did a little, but not much, for the capillaries around my nose, but worked wonderfully for the smaller capillaries in my cheeks. -These are called broken capillaries. And you need to see a Dermatologist for proper care. She can use a laser to get rid of them for good. If you get just those little areas treated it shouldn't be terribly expensive. But they are not spider veins, they are capillaries.
