Question: I have little red spider veins on my nose and tried Dr. Perricone's spider vein (face) serum for 3 months and it made no improvement. Has anyone tried something that actually works for this problem?
Answer: -Yes. i finally decided to forgo the pricey products, and had them photodermed away. it worked perfectly, and only cost about as much as a jar of creme de la mer, with maybe an anti-spider vein face thrown in, depending on where you live. -I had sclerotherapy done a few years ago on a patch of tiny spider veins on my ankle. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again, but it didn't work as smoothly as some might lead you to believe. They don't just "disappear" - at least that wasn't my experience. The veins hardened & turned black, temporarily looking worse than before treatment, then slowly lightened over several months. It took about 10 months for the complete healing process. -Years ago (25) my derm did a simple in office electro-cautery on those damaged veins on the side of my nose. All gone. Forever. Nowadays they want to use the pricey lasers on you, but the cautery machine worked fine. Call around local derms and enquire.
