Since passing through the big M I've noticed a dramatic increase in the number of spider veins in my legs from the knees up. How safe are the treatments that are available to get rid of these things? I don't consider myself a vain person, but these things are really ugly. Here in Florida I wear shorts most of the year, so each time I glance down I see these things.

Answer: Try looking in one of the Rosacea sites. There was a discussion in the group last year(?) regarding this disorder. I have a vague recollection of visiting the site and reading about spider veins on the face and options for their removal.
