Question: What tests did the doc do and what symptoms. About the livedo reticularis. I don't know about patches of it. I have it and it is completely over both legs from upper thigh down to below the ankes. I call it my purple blue road map. It is lots worse in the winter or when I get chilly. Also it shows up more when you are on beta blockers, for which I am now. It is the circulation but it is not hazardous. LOL Just damn colorful. Every doc I have seen sees it. But my pulses are good in the legs so I do not worry about it. Why are you a self diagnosed lupie. Won't anyone help you and are you seeing a rheumy? I got to know more here LOL NOsey Janers.. Oh, by the way the live do Looks more like a spider web in shape for me....
Answer: -Are you talking about spider veins? Little tiny purple blue veins? Sometimes you can almost feel them with your fingers. Rub them and they seen to disappear for a second or two before they fill up again? Mine are always worse when I've been on my feet for any length of time. But they never go away. That's lupus too? -No not like spider veins. That is different. You can not feel the livedo, it is just there and purplish blue and reddish blue in color. Mine looks like a spider's web meaning that it is entwind all over the legs. LOL My road map ha ha. If your veins get bigger and worse after a day or a few hours on your feet, those are usually varicous veins. If they are painful they need someone to check it out. There is treatment for that. Those veins can get inflammed and sore. Yep that is lupus too but many people with lupus have them also. Most women get them after they have had their first born, some go away and some stay. You need to wear support hose if possible. You can get nice ones, and people do not know they are support hose. Hot in the summer ha ha...some women don't mind it me, no no.... -Maybe you are talking about what my grandmother called "chill blains". The skin gets almost a honeycomb look, extra white in the centers and surrounded by pinkish purple hue of color? It's a skin thing not actually veins like spider veins. More like a slapped mark? Am I on the right track? I'm so fogged out today trying to get ready to go away. I have a list a mile long of things to do. For every item I cross off I think of three more to write down!
