Not that this has anything to do with ghosts really but...any wiccans know of any folk medicine/magicks to rid oneself of painful thrombosed ie varicose veins? i sit almost all night and day and despite elevation of the legs ive recently developed a vein as big and purple as barney's pen1s on the back of my leg. hurts to sit, hurts to stand and i hear these things can lead to clots which can kill ya in time. i wont call on any beings for help coz it just aint my thang but know anything that might work?

Answer: -I have moms use topical witch hazel on varicosities that are easy to reach. Also Hamamelis 12x homeopathic ( homeopathic witch hazel that can be used internally) can be used through out pregnancy. Hamamelis herbal tincture( by mouth) in the last few wks of pregnancy. Also I highly encourage these ladies with ANY varicosities to use a good belly support-{ there are only a few I recommend} at 20 wks on. I have used these methods for many years and have always seen much improvement. -I had the beginnings of one varicose vein at about 28 weeks...you could see it and just feel it coming above the surface of my skin. I started taking lots of antioxidants: grapeseed extract 800 mgs per day and vitamin c 3000 mgs per day...also flax seed, about 6-10 capsules per day. Antioxidants and bioflavinoids (someone had mentioned rutin) are supposed to promote tissue integrity/strength of connective tissue...veins would be included in that...as would skin, etc. -I heard about the vinegar, have to try some of the rest. heard that i need to take capsicum aka cayenne daily too. Also gonna dig out the support hose i had to wear last year after I blew my knee out...its been a fun life :/ and im not even 40 yet!!! Had a lateral meniscus tear while lifting and spent nearly a month on crutches b4 doctor would work on it due to my loverly insurance plan....hate florida, hate hate hate! with the combination of a bum knee and the inguinal and navel hernias i started in the last 3-4 years exercising is hard at best. been on one big cycle of since 93 but on the brighter side, astrologists all agree that with my jupiter return not long ago, i start a 9 year cycle of good!
