Support Stockings Varicose Veins, need help???

Question:
Anyone have painful varicose veins. I have a hard paunful vein in the calf of one leg. I think it may be because i drive so much with my job but I never knew these buggers hurt like they do? Can't wear support stockings cuz I can't get em on with my gimp hands. I do put my feet up when I can. Anyone else with this problem and what do ya do for it?

Answer: -They used to have to strip them but now they inject those hard ones and they just go away. Ask your doctor to refer you to which ever doctor it is that does that. -I suggest you get thee to a doc or emergency room ASAP for a doppler study. Hard painful veins in the calf can indicate a deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which is potentially life-threatening. If you know that it's not for sure and have already discussed it with your doc, then disregard this suggestion. But, if it came on very recently and/or suddenly, don't mess around trying to find an answer on the internet. Get it treated! Also, vericose veins are more prone to DVTs than normal veins. -There are devices to use to help put on support stockings. My arthritic hands cannot get them on either so I have such a device. I will attempt to find out where I got mine and I will send you their site. You can also check stores that specialize in disability aids that sell support stockings they are likely to have devices to get them on. Try the site Supports Plus. -I have to wear support stockings and I found a neat helper at support plus.com. it's a nice device which helps you get your support stockings on. Without it i I would be lost. It is item # R467 cost #38.95 plus Shipping. I tried some of the others pictured at several stores and they were absolutely too hard to use and unsatisfactory.
