Treating Spider Veins, by what???

Question:
Yes he is plus an MD. an and OP. He haSs recently gone into the DMSO and Chelation as well as the slcerotherapy. He has been practicing medicine on the island for mre than 20 years. He really knows the suff about sd as I have taken the time to educate him. the past 5 years he is in a more "alternative" role treating any illness. My insurance does not cover 60% of the treatments offer though I have spoke with several who have undergone Dr GReggs methods and they swear by them. I am not ready to be a human guinea pig. Thouggh he sweats what I undergo will benefit mankind in the whole. Okay, so whatwould anyone else in my family do? Be a testnagent or go with what is tried and true?As I stated before my asthma has become more pronouncned since starting the MSM therapy. Yes it helped with the joints, but at the same not being able to breathe has caused a great disstress in my life. Should I give uo one for another in the sake of progress? I wiill do that if it is what it takes for further research being done. On a lighter note, I am so thankful for Susan, Y;all dont begin to realize what a special Lady we have within this website. She was willing to drive all the way from close to London, Cananda to make sure \i was okay. Mum , I am still not breathing right, but my is working. Now how many have a Mum in their lives? Jaimes you are the exception, as yours went on to better place than this world could offer her, Your last "speech" on her behalf, let me know how real and sacred of an individual you are. You are one special lady that I am humbled before and knowing. Sherry hope all goes well in TN.I love each and every one of with all my heart and forgive me for embarassing her,

Answer: I don't usually post here but I do read here frequently. I have CREST. You may not be too far off on your "voodoo" comment in your recent post. Sclerotherapy is a medical term that is used to describe treating spider veins and/or varicose veins by injecting a saline or similar solution directly into veins. This causes the veins to seal themselves off and they eventually disappear. Please be careful. This is such a common procedure that any physician should know about it. It sounds like he may have "borrowed" the term and has given it a different meaning. I suppose its possible to use the same term to describe two different treatments but it doesn't seem likely to me. But maybe....... If you do a search on SCLEROTHERAPY in Yahoo, you will come up with lots of references to this vein treatment but none for treating weak joints that I could find. If you find any about joints, please post them here. I really hope I am wrong about this physician, but just wanted you to know that there are things to question about this treatment.
