Laser treatment of surface blood vessels???

Question:
I know there are operations where laser is used to remove tiny blood vessels on the face. Is there any kind of plastic surgery that can remove unwanted blood-vessels from the surface of the eye-ball? I have several such blood-vessels that appear from time to time and stay for quite long for no apparent reason (no hypoxia for sure - I'm wearing quality contacts with no problems).

Answer: -There isn't any laser treatment to remove conjunctival or episcleral vessels (bv's found on the "white part" of the eye). Sometimes the dilation of these vessels are caused by an irritative process (allergic reaction, dry eye, mechanical such as a tight cl) - trying a good artificial tear product or rewetting agent if wearing cl's can help. But other than the cosmesis effect ("they dont look good") the bv cause no harm. -I am sorry you have floaters - I hope they go away, or else that your brain somehow learns to ignore them (our brains help us sometimes - I'll never forget reading a book once that showed all these optical illusions and other things that illustrated how our brains sometimes change what we see....maybe your brain will decide for you one day to not see the floaters? I hope so.) Oh, believe me, I have tons of spider veins on my face, too, mostly on and around my nose - my nose looks bright red if I don't wear makeup! BUT - I can wear corrective makeup on my nose and make my nose look relatively normal...I CAN'T wear corrective makeup on my eyeballs and the Naphcon-A drops only work for maybe an hour at a time! I sort of wish I could stay on steroid drops because my eyes look and more importantly feel better than they have for decades on these drops, but I know long-term steroid use is very bad for the eye so that's not a possibility.
