Treatment Of Varicose Veins, help???

Question:
My Natural Medicine book says "Bromelain: this proteolytic enzyme of the pineappel plant has been shown to inhibit platelet aggregration, improve angina pain, reduce blood pressure and break down atherosclerotic plaques. Pancreatic enzyme preparations would have similar effects to bromelain." "Bromelain has well documented effects in virtually all inflammatory conditions." "For best results, bromelain should be taken between meals." (This is the suggestion when its used for its anti-inflammatory effects. If its used as a digestive aid, you take it with each meal.) "Bromelain is beliveed to be a smooth muscle relaxant.... This effect...is believed to be a result of decreasing the synthesis of prostaglandins of the 2-series." "The proteolytic enzyme from pineapple, bromelain, also appears indicated in the treatment of varicose veins. Vein walls are an important source of plasminogen activator, with promotes the breakdown of fibrin. Veins that have become varicosed have decreased levels of plasminogen activator. Bromelain acts in a similar manner to plasminogen activator to cause fibrin breakdown. Bromelain may help prevent the development of the hard and lumy skin (lipodermatosclerosis) found around varicosed veins."

Answer: Setup? No,sometimes things just flow together.Btw,I dont know that the Canadian doctor was using proteolytic enzymes altho it would make lots of sense if he was trying to dissolve this membrane he talked about. Dont even know if his treatment worked as I didnt try it.But it sure was coincidental(not a setup) that proteolytic enzymes just happened to inhibit tgf-beta1.I'm going to take it orally for sure but dont know about the amounts. As your study you posted shows dont take immediately after meals. You dont want the proteolytic enzymes "used up" on digestion but against inflammation.
