Varicose Veins Cost, help???

Question:
A friend of mine, a rather young Dutch woman (about 40) has undergone already many striping surgery operations. She starts to become quite desperate, and asked me to place a question for help on the newsnet. She does not herself have an email account. If there is anybody out there in the world who knows of other treatments against varicose vains than striping, please contact me.

Answer: -Varicose veins of the lower extremities are present in approximately 20 percent of adults. They are often symptomatic and may contribute to the development of cutaneous changes of venous insufficiency. Sclerotherapy is a nonsurgical procedure to eradicate varicosities. It can be performed in the office and is more cost-effective than traditional surgical vein stripping, which requires hospitalization and a recuperation period. Sclerotherapy is relatively safe and effective and may be used to treat both varicose veins and telangiectatic "spider" veins of the lower extremities. -Sclerotherapy, in which a substance that causes veins to shrivel and recede is injected into the offending veins, enjoys success and popularity as an alternative to stripping.
