Varicose Veins Utah, serious question???

Question:
I understand that LDS familes are sealed so as to be together for all eternity As I pointed on when I first joined this website -I am still mystified where the LDS belief- that other faiths don't believe that families are together for eternity- came from. So my question is -was there a teaching pecular to the early 1800's either denominational or local that either a) caused Joseph Smith to believe there were no "families" in the after life 0r b) caused GOD to feel he must establish a new church because the belief of families in the after life had been destroyed? (and if the question is unclear -I'm sorry but I am having trouble formulating it so as to be understandable:)

Answer: -While we're on the subject, I can't resist wondering aloud about which members of Joseph Smith, Jr's family are with him near Kolob (or where ever). Certainly his nephew Joseph F. Smith must be there, with his father Hyrum. And Joseph Sr. must also be there. Along with the umpteen jillion old maids who have been wed to the long dead prophet in Utah, etc. But what about Emma Smith? What about Joseph III, Alexander, and David? What about William Smith (Joe's brother) and Lucy and Katherine (sisters)? And what about Lucy Mack Smith? The blood of one of her grandmothers runs in both our veins -- if she's in Mormon heaven, maybe I should go there also. But she died denying Brigham's authority, having been first a declared follower of J. J. Strang and later was sympathetic to son Bill's claims. Where does an apostate like Lucy end up -- daughter of perdition in the lake of fire? If so, guess I'll go there also. I kinda like the old girl. -No, I'm quite serious about this. Those who did not follow Brigham westward (who were also not on authorized Church business or missions) were definitely considered apostates. My great great grandfather went as far west as Winter Quarters, refused to go on to Utah after the famous 1853 command and the admission of polygamy. And by the early 1860's was being noted in the Utah records as a "Wisconsin Apostate." Now he never renounced his membership nor priesthood, never followed Strang in Wisconsin, and did not join the Reorganization when it was centered in Wisconsin (though some of his kids did). He was an "apostate" simply because he did not heed the call to gather. Lucy was an "apostate" for the same reasons, as was Emma, her children, and a good many of the Smith family. Joseph's sisters (Katherine and Lucy) would not obey any of the rules and commands issued from Utah. Joseph's brother (William) first followed J. J. Strang, then formed his own splinter group. He was regularly called "an apostate" in Utah comments of the 1860's and 1870's.
