"Full" feeling in vagina ???

Question:
My hips also bother me, and I've had this same feeling too. I just mentioned this to my dh the other day and told him it felt like there was something between my legs prying them apart. I never associated it to my hip problems! I just figured my hips have been stretched twice before and the aching hips were just a different side affect!

Answer: -I'm having this same feeling with this pregnancy. I didn't have it with my first. I describe it as an uncomfortable heaviness. I don't feel it much at all when I'm sitting or laying down. But, if I'm on my feet for awhile it feels very heavy - almost kind of swollen. I mentioned it to my doctor and he just said everything in my pelvis is much looser and lower after having the first and I'm going to have the feeling of more pressure. I'm also having trouble with hemorriods which I didn't have at all last time. I've also heard that during pregnancy all the membranes in your body, including those in your vagina, etc., engorge with blood and swell. Getting off my feet for awhile during the day is the only way I get relief. -I may have an answer for you if none of the others have panned out. I had what was described to me as a varicose vein in the vulva area. You can get varicose veins anywhere in the genitals. Most books only mention them but do not go into detail. It is exactly like having a tampon in sideways, or almost coming out! The only relief I got was from sitting with my legs elevated, which was hard as I was teaching at the time. It got progressively worse until the end. Dr. told me I will always have it and in fact I get it again during my premenstrual period now. I would recommend sitting/layong down a lot, and also one of those maternity belts helped me a bit too, takes the pressure off of you.
