varicrose veins question???

Question:
Is there anything to take either herb or vitamin or drug that will reduce or get rid of varicose veins? What are peoples experiences in that regard?

Answer: -I have never found anything. Varicose veins (at least mine) are caused by "leaky valves" causing the blood to "back up". My doctor told me this. -Vericose veins is due to nervous system weakness caused by ageing process. You can try the following: Place 3 tea spoons of Ajinomoto (monosulphaglutamate) on your navel for 15 minutes twice a day every day. You will get about 50% relief with this. You may place the Ajinomoto on a wet cotton wool pad and place the pad on your navel for convenience. You may report your progress weekly on e-mail: m...@nde.vsnl.net.in What you really need is pyramid energy instrument for cure of your nervous system. There is no other effective remedy. -I'm too tired to look the references up right now, but I believe horse chestnut extract has been shown to ease the swelling associated with varicose veins. It can be applied as a cream. If you really, really want I could look the research up for you. -I have heard that Vitamin K cream is effective in minimizing the appearance of small spider veins on the face and that taking bioflavanoids internally (via supplement) is also helpful. I assume the best way is to get bioflavanoids in one's diet. Regarding the problem with the purplish area on your back, see your doctor as soon as you can. It has the potential to become a blood clot. -Common causes: Low-fiber, meat and dairy based diet with too many refined foods, Vitamin E, C, and A deficiency; essential fatty acid deficiency; constipation and straining; pressure on the veins from excess weight or pregnancy; weakness of vascular walls due to weak connective tissue; poor posture and circulation; liver malfunction; long periods of standing or heavy lifting; damage to veins from inflammation and blood clots in the vein.
