Does anyone know what products will get rid of spider veins on the legs? I was going to purchase some Dermal-K cream, from Self Care catalog, but the product description said, "may help diminish spider veins." Has anyone tried any products that made their spider veins go away?

Answer: -Vita K Solutions is another product like Dermal-K. It seemed to help diminish the spider veins, although mine didn't go away completely. It's possible I didn't use it religiously 2x a day for the recommended length of time (I think 2 mos). It's a relatively new product. In Calif, it's carried in Savon's and Longs Drug. Phone # for store locations is (888) 766-7331. They also make a formulation for stretch marks - although I suspect its the same thing. Mass retailers make it difficult for small manufacturers to get products in unless you have more than one product in your line, and that's how this company may have solved the problem. Also, regarding DermalK's disclaimer of "may help diminish spider veins" - The FDA and other governmental agencies are very strict about manufacturers making claims on their packaging so many manufacturers have to "play down" their product descriptions on packaging. Some manufacturer's can't even say what their product does because the FDA would constitute it as a claim. don't be too put off by those vague type of descriptions. Be sure to buy it at a place you can return it to if you're dissatisfied, but there's a world of potentially fabulous products out there that are restricted from saying how great the product really is. (Of course - there's also many products that say they do much more than what they actually do so as usual - let the buyer beware). -There are physicians who will remove them surgically with great results. I have never tried this personally but have friends who have done so. One of my husband's clients, a surgeon, has devoted his entire practice to removing spider veins with great results.
