Question: Yeah another one of those dumb questions *sigh* Has anyone else noticed their veins standing out more? Especially spider veins in their legs? Maybe its just cause theres not as much fat to hide them, although my lower legs have always been slim. The other thing was bruises. Anyone notice an increase in bruises or bruising easily? No? Am I going nuts?
Answer: -As the fat disappeared "Sticky outy veins" syndrome appeared. :-) I even have a prominent cephalic vein (the one that is most obvious on guys who weight train - it travels over the middle of the biceps). My legs have them as well, mostly along the shinbone (tibia) and they're most noticeable when I'm exercising. It's just something some people have. -I have a lot of veins in my thighs...mainly very close to the surface. One time I accidentally nicked one while shaving. It took a long while before I got the bleeding stopped as it was coming out in a stream. -I dont get this on my legs but I do get it on my arms the veins on the inside of my wrist will bulge way out and I get more blue looking viens on the palm of my hand.I only do this when Im flaring. Someone expained to it me once, she said our veins bulge because the muscles under them are swelling up causing the veins to come closer to the skins surface.
